Dual Plate Check Valves are non return valves. They are stronger, lighter in weight and smaller in size compared to conventional Swing Check Valves. Dual Plate Check Valves employ two spring-loaded plates hinged on a central hinge pin. When the flow decreases, the plates close by torsion spring action without requiring reverse flow. Consequently, very little energy is needed to open the valve and maintain this position, with much lower energy loss.
